A strength gym built around real coaching

Forge & Iron Strength Club opened on the edge of downtown Kitchener with one goal: build a gym where a first-time lifter gets the same coaching attention as someone training for a competition. Every coach on staff trains here too, and keeps up their own certifications every year.

New members and people who have trained here for years go through the same process: we start by understanding where you actually are, build a program around it, and adjust honestly as you progress.

Certified coaches, not just supervisors Every coach holds a recognized strength and conditioning certification and keeps it current
Programming that actually periodizes Your training builds week to week toward a real goal, not a random workout of the day
Right on the edge of downtown Easy parking and steps from the LRT, a few minutes from anywhere in Kitchener
Easy to start Book your first session online in under a minute, or call and talk to a real coach

2-week starter package

Your first two weeks at Forge & Iron

Starting strength training can feel intimidating. Here is exactly what happens before you are ever handed a heavy barbell.

01

We talk before we train

Before your first session, a coach sits down with you to talk through your goals, any injuries and what to expect. No forms, no guesswork.

02

Learn the movements that matter

Your first sessions focus on the handful of fundamental movements you will use every time you train here, coached one on one until they feel natural.

03

Join the group with confidence

By week two you are training through regular classes at your own pace, supported by coaches and training partners who remember being new too.

The coaches on the floor

Every coach at Forge & Iron is certified, experienced and genuinely invested in your progress. You will train with all of them over time.

I had never touched a barbell before I walked in here and I was terrified. My coach spent the first session just teaching me to squat properly before adding any weight at all. Two years later I still train here three times a week.

“Signed up for the beginners on-ramp not knowing what to expect and ended up staying. The coaching is patient and the group actually looks out for each other.”

“I have trained at three other gyms in Kitchener and none of them coached the lifts like this one does. Worth every dollar.”
